- Find your support group – this can be friends, family members, gym members, a personal trainer, or an online support group. Everyone’s support system will be different because everyone is different!
- Eat real food. Eighty percent of a healthy life style comes from the food you put in your body. Remember you aren’t what you eat; you are what you absorb.
- Meal plan. When you plan out what you are going to eat then you can create a grocery list and then if you stick to the grocery list you will only set yourself up for success!
- Take care of all aspects of your health – mental, physical, emotional, spiritual and financial. If any one of these are off balance then the others will also be off balance.
- Make small changes. Every time you make a small change and stay consistent with that before making this next small change you are making bigger changes long term!
- Pay attention to how your body responds to food. If your body is giving you negative signs after you eat something, stop eating it.
- Eat when you are hungry. Stop when you are full. This means you will have to pay attention to what your body is telling you and start to recognize the signs that your body is giving you.
